The BBIF is a partnership with diverse representation from both the public
and private sectors. Board representatives from financial institutions and
government entities serve along with community leaders and small business
owners on BBIF governing board and committees. Through this inclusive
representation, the BBIF ensures that fund initiatives are aligned with
overall community economic development strategies.

President, Brindley Pieters & Associates, Inc.
President and Founder of Brindley Pieters and Associates, Inc., a civil and
structural engineering firm which focuses on planning and design through
project administration and construction inspection. Mr. Pieters, a past BBIF
client, provides leadership and insight from a business owner’s point of
view for this governing body.

The Honorable Daisy Lynum
Orlando City Council, District 5
Commissioner Lynum was elected to the Orlando City Council in April 1998.
Her primary focus is quality of life through sustainable neighborhoods for
residents in District 5 and the City of Orlando. In addition to her
political knowledge, Commissioner Lynum was once a partner in a family-owned
business and therefore brings business and economic development knowledge to
the BBIF board.

Fidelia N. (Ola) Nnadi, Ph.D., P.E.
President - Nadic Engineering Services, Inc.
Associate Professor - Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering,
University of Central Florida
Dr. Nnadi is President/CEO of Nadic Engineering, in addition, she teaches
courses related to Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Resources
engineering and design, River Mechanics and Sediment Transport. The firm
conducts research in the areas of Environmental Hydraulics, River studies,
and Water Resources engineering with applications to civil, agricultural,
industrial and environmental systems. She has worked on several sponsored
and un-sponsored research projects, and developed and coordinates the
program on West African Graduate Engineering Exchange at UCF.

Connie Downs
Vice-President - SunTrust Bank
Ms. Connie has 30 years experience in the financial service industry. She
has an extensive background in community development, Community Reinvestment
Act (CRA) and regulatory compliance, loan review and credit management,
including review and analyses of bank credit quality. In addition, she has
18 years experience in coordination of regulatory examinations for safety
and soundness, CRA, consumer compliance and fair lending. Ms. Downs has also
served as a Florida Legislative Lobbyist. From 1988 to 1995, Ms. Downs was a
representative and director of Barnett People for Better Government, a
political action committee.
